The last brunch of 2019!
It’s been a year since I’ve been volunteering for l’Assocation des Canadiennes à Paris. Gathering women (and men too!), we have the objective of creating a support system for long-standing members and also newcomers as we know being in a new country comes with its challenges. We also organize activities promoting women empowerment.
Being involved has allowed me to create relationships with amazing people and I am grateful to find a family within the group. As giving back to my community is important to me, I am responsible for organizing brunches, merging my passion (for eating!) and gathering people together. It has been heartwarming to see the Brunches go from 4 attendants to now 21 attendants!
I am writing this post to encourage you to go out there and get involved in whatever cause you care about. Even if it’s small, there’s always a ripple effect!
