Visite de Chantilly - château et écuries

This ACP day trip to Chantilly will include the castle, the stables and the gardens.
The Château de Chantilly is set amidst landscaped gardens on the shores of an artificial lake. The castle is like a storybook vision – a sprawling pale yellow sandstone mansion with a slate-grey roof, turrets, and spires. It is an incredible experience to see the collection of art, which is overwhelming in its richness and importance. The art collection at the Château is considered second in importance only to the Louvre! The guided tour of the Château will include the Suites, the Art Galleries and Reading Room. 
The stables at the Château are considered the finest in France and have a deep history. Our trip will include a tour of the Great Stables, a 30-minute equestrian demonstration, and free time to visit the Horse Museum. We will finish with a ride around the grounds on a little train.
Chantilly has had a significant Anglophone community for generations, many of them in the area on account of the horseracing. 

Program summary – Suturday June 1st :
9H00 : Train from Gare de Nord then a bus from the Chantilly station to the Chateau. The cost of the train is about 8 euros and is not included in the fee for the day trip.
10H15 : Guided tour of Chateau (1.5 hrs in ENGLISH)
11H45 : Lunch at Les Ecuries, café in the courtyard of Grandes Écuries or Bring your own picnic
13H30 : Walk around gardens to the stables 
14H15 : Stables - Horse demonstration times are strict! No latecomers accepted! 
14H30 : Horse demonstration
15H30 : Unguided visit of Spectacular Dome and Horse Museum (1.5 hrs) 
17H00 : Petit train around the grounds to finish our day
17H30 : Bus or walk back to Chantilly station to head back to Paris 18h00, or to a brasserie for those who wish to stay for an aperitif and wander main street before later departure.
19H30 : Return to Paris for those or who stay for aperitif and stroll in town

Price : 30 euros for each adult or child.

Maximum 20 people. 
This is a good venue for the children as the horses & barns may be of great interest :))

Price includes: the program, entry, guide, horse demo, little train around grounds
Price does not include: the cost for the train from Gare de Nord-Paris return(about 8 euros) and lunch at cafe (voir la carte) very reasonable price/menu. or bring your own.

As our group wishes to practice English listening, the Castle guided tour is in English.
