At a recent event, Nadia Burger, career diplomat, and Caroline St Hilaire, first female mayor of Longueuil, offered inspiring perspectives on their professional journeys and the challenges faced as leaders. Ms. Burger spoke about gender stereotypes in professional environments and encouraged women to courageously take their place at the decision-making table. Ms. St Hilaire shared the importance of collegial leadership and encouraged women to overcome their doubts to pursue leadership opportunities.

When asked to explain their professional roles, both women offered enlightening perspectives on their respective jobs, the first as a diplomat plenipotentiary and the second as an administrator of the OIF. Their passion for promoting Canadian interests and the Francophonie was evident. They also praised the Canadian government's efforts to promote equal opportunities and shared inspiring influences and advice for women and men aspiring to take their place in leadership.

It is important to highlight the brilliant animation of the interview by Nathalie Lesage, whose dynamism and naturalness enchanted the spectators, making the interview captivating and stimulating.

This event not only highlighted the impressive achievements of these two women, but also inspired participants to actively promote female leadership in their own fields of activity. By encouraging women to courageously undertake and create space for future generations, Ms Burger and Ms St Hilaire have illustrated the path towards a more balanced and inclusive representation of leadership.
