Great loss for ACP. Brigitte Hervé-Grenon passed away on June 11, 2022.
Our friend, Brigitte Hervé-Grenon, former President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Canadian Women in Paris, passed away on June 11 in her 69th year.

Daughter of a Canadian diplomat, Brigitte lived abroad most of her youth: Italy, Chile, Venezuela, Senegal, Belgium. A graduate in Political Science, she met Jean-François during an internship at the European Commission. Brigitte joined the Association when the couple moved to Paris after a stay in Saudi Arabia in 1984.

Brigitte assiduously followed the various activities of the association: guided tours, exhibitions, fundraising for l’Arche, bridge. For many years, she welcomed each autumn all the new members for a tea or an aperitif at her place.

With Nicole Jacquemet and then Paule Thiaville, she was in charge of reception, during the monthly meetings. We remember her legendary smile, her good humour and her kindness.

There were about ten of us from the Association present at the funeral at the Sainte-Bernadette Chapel in Auteuil. A very beautiful ceremony, simple, moving, prayerful. Her three sons, Alexis, Florent and Fabrice, took turns discussing her biography, character traits and anecdotes that have marked their family history.

We offer our most sincere condolences to her husband, Jean HERVÉ, her sons and her loved ones. Her memory will always remain present within our Association to which she has always given her unwavering support.
