How I landed in ACP

After 30 years in France, I was looking to expand my social circle, and who better than Canadians! So I found the association on Facebook and after months of looking at the posts, I finally decided to join. And I don't regret it! There are so many fun activities on offer and everyone is so nice

What I do for a living

I'm an estate agent with Leggett International. A Franco-British real estate agency whose Paris branch is based on the Ile Saint-Louis.

The trip that made the biggest impression on me ?

My trip to Thailand in July 2022. I'd been dreaming of going to Thailand for twenty years. I've done quite a bit of traveling in my life, but this trip was probably the one that made the biggest impression on me: between the food, the scenery and the kindness of the people, I'll always remember it fondly and wish I could go back.

My favourite place in France or Canada

I'd say the Ile de Ré: it's beautiful, it's simple, nature is beautiful and you can breathe! But you have to go there out of season. In Canada, I'd say Mont Royal, where I have so many wonderful memories: sledging on Beaver Lake, hiking in the fall….

My passions and / or my hidden talent ?

I sing, I love it! I finally took the step of taking classes and I do not regret it! I had the chance to sing at the Olympia a few years ago.

What I learned in life

Not to rely on anyone but yourself, and that the only person you're competing with is yourself! Difficult to apply in a society that pushes young people to imitate influencers.

My favourite bar-restaurant in France and Canada ?

In France, in Paris at Caducée Café on rue Brochant. The food there is so good, it's a treat to try from time to time because it's a bit expensive. In Canada, at Notre Boeuf de Grace on the Plateau Mont-Royal, great burgers and impeccable service!

My favourite ACP activity?

It's hard to choose between brunches and networking evenings, but as long as there's food and drink, I'm happy!
