Message from the President

Hello everyone!

We are back after what we hope was an enjoyable summer for you. On our end, we have been working hard to fill our fall calendar with activities that will appeal to all tastes, help you discover new aspects of your adopted city, and allow you to stay in touch with the Canadian community. What's more, at the risk of creating a sense of double vision, we have two walks, two concerts, and two opportunities to grab a bite with fellow Canadians.

Indeed, our season is off to a great start with the first of two brunches, this one planned in the vicinity of the Canal Saint-Martin. True to form, the meal will likely be followed by a walk through this fabulous neighborhood, a chance to digest a little and continue the discussions.

Then, our flagship event of the fall will undoubtedly be our "back-to-school" cocktail party, with the theme "Welcome Aboard!" " since we have chosen the Le Fluctuart barge, moored near Les Invalides, for the occasion. We are pleased to offer this event free of charge to members, and at a very reasonable rate for their guests.

At the same time, the Cercle France-Amérique is offering ACP members a reduced rate for Nathalie Choquette's concert on October 13th, as well as the opportunity to meet the singer. As for us, our concert series with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris will resume on November 24th, when the orchestra will make a special guest appearance at the Théâtre du Châtelet for a superb program of Bach/Haydn/Mozart.

For those who want to enjoy the last beautiful days of autumn, our guide Lily Heise will take us on a guided tour (in English) of the secret corners of Montmartre on October 12th, while the following week we can gather informally for a photo safari along the Canal de l'Ourcq to discover its street art.

And that's not all! While details are still to be announced, please mark your calendar for December 4th, as we have set that date for our Christmas cocktail party (which, yes, will be coming sooner than you think!)

In short, it is with renewed enthusiasm that we look forward to seeing you all this fall. Of course, please feel free to share this information and our contact details with all Canadians newly arrived in Paris!

Some activities have already started taking registrations, so don't delay!

We look forward to seeing you again very soon!

For the Executive Committee :
Sylvie, Annabelle, Vanessa et Mayssane
