Message from the President

Dear members,

March is the month in which we celebrate International Women's Day. The day of March 8 is important because it emphasizes womans rights, reminding us that there is still a long way to go to achieve parity in France, Canada and around the world. It is also a day where we highlight inspiring women who have dared to take their stand!

Feminine ambition is what we want to highlight with our association with the Inspirational women evening organized by the Maison des Étudiants Canadiens! We are delighted to point out that 5 inspiring women and members of the ACP are being honoured: Édéenne, Brigitte Légaré, Danielle Normandin, the Honorable Michèle Boisvert and myself. Well done ladies!!

We have now 20% of "hombassadors" in ACP, including two volunteers! We are delighted to see this percentage increase each year and we thank you, gentlemen, for contributing to this diversity, which is very important to us.

The month of March promises to be rich in activities: "World Cuisine" meal, "Sugar Shack" evening with Canadian university graduates, visit of the covered passages, conference-debate organized by France-Amérique, monthly Meetup and finishing with our Réso evening.

This month, we offer you the portrait of a woman who has been very involved in the association for several years. You have surely met her at the reception of one of our activities. Thank you dear Paule Thiaville for your loyalty.

To conclude this message, I share with you a quote in honor of International Women's Day: "Feminism isn't about making women strong. Women are already strong. It's about changing the way the world perceives that strength.” - G.D. Anderson

Yes, “We can do it” ladies!

Christina
Your President
