ACP objectives for 2021-2022

News - Intro image

Dear members,

In 2021, the Association of Canadian Women in Paris has set itself three major objectives for the coming years. As a reminder, here they are again:

1. Create links between us in order to get to know each other better and strengthen the support network

  • Profile of the month to promote interaction between members
  • Classified ads to promote the support network within our association
  • Energize our community of professionals
  • Member survey to find out more about your interests

2. As Canadians, the values of diversity and inclusion are part of our DNA. That’s why we do everything we can to be as inclusive as possible. Thus, after opening our association to men, we are also emphasizing better English-speaking representation. Since October our articles and the newsletter have been available in both languages and we will be offering more bilingual and English-speaking activities, while of course continuing our French-speaking offerings. At the start of 2020 we count among our members:

  • 7.5% English speakers
  • 15% male: thank you to our hom’bassadeurs

=> Come forward if you want to organize an activity or join a committee!

3. Create and strengthen relationships with the various actors of the Canadian community as well as the provinces by organizing events or partnerships, Anglophone and Francophone, for a greater influence of each of the actors as well as of the association.

  • We organize the galette every year with the Embassy of Canada, we collaborate with the House of Canadian Students which is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year, ...
  • What we are working to put in place: a welcome day for new Canadians arriving in Paris, partnerships with Canadian businesses and the provinces, activities in collaboration with the Délégation générale du Québec and activities of artists at the bilingual Canadian school, …

We are counting on each and every one of you to help us reach them!
