Come and discover secrets of the Templars
Visit of Marais des Templiers

Come and discover the place where the Templar enclosure stood with its famous Temple prison where the future King Louis XVII was imprisoned. After the arrest of the Grand Master of the Templars, Jacques de Molay, by Philippe IV le Bel, the Templar enclosure was handed over by papal bull, to the order of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem (today the Order of Malta) , fascinating story of these Knights of Christ called Templars.

The entire itinerary of this visit takes place in the former Enclosure of the Templars, a vast territory which shelters typical facades, alleys and dead ends. We will see the Carreau du Temple, the Marché des Enfants Rouges, the oldest market in Paris with its colorful stalls and "à Bobos" bar, the oldest house in Paris built for the alchemist Nicolas Flamel, and prestigious mansions such as the Hotel de Clisson nested with the Hotel de Soubise attached to the affair of the Queen's necklace (Marie-Antoinette and the Cardinal de Rohan) and the Hotel Saint-Aignan, attached to the garden of Anne Franck, which has in its courtyard the statue of Captain Dreyfus.
