Sugar Shack Night 2026

As in Quebec, in March it’s sugar shack season in Paris ! Join us to catch up with old friends and to make new ones. 

89 attendees are expected. The first floor of the pub has been privatised for the occasion.

Come listen to Quebecker singer and accordionist Fred Péloquin who will perform live in a humorous and sometimes quirky style. 

There will be at least 16 winners in the maple syrup raffle and dozens of books on Quebec and the other provinces will be given away.

Do not hesitate to share this invitation with alumni you know.

The event is co-organised by Alumni representatives from Western, Waterloo, University Laval, UQAM, University of Toronto, Université de Montréal, University of British Columbia, Polytechnique Montreal, McGill, HEC Montréal and Concordia. Friends, partners, children and colleagues are also welcomed. 

Programme:

7 pm     : Doors open and icebreaker game "À la découverte des diplômés"; Music;

7:30 pm: Introduction;

~8 pm   : Music;

8:30 pm: Time limit for depositing answers to the game into the raffle box; Raffle draw and prizes;

9 pm      : Music and the evening continues …

Where: The Canadian Embassy Pub, 71 Boulevard Gouvion-Saint-Cyr, Paris 17e (RER C et E, métro 1, tram T3b, bus 73, N11, N24, N151, N153: Porte Maillot; bus 43, 82, 274: Porte des Ternes ou Anny Flore).

When: Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 7pm until 11pm

Cost: 12 € registration fee. Non-refundable. Includes 1 drink ticket (=1/2 pint of beer or 1 glass of wine) given at the entrance. Then you pay for what you consume. Total number of participants limited to 89
