Alex Henry Foster (AHF) is a Canadian musician, author, producer, and composer, formerly the frontman for Juno Awards nominee post-rock/noise band Your Favorite Enemies (YFE). Hailed as an “unforeseen DIY artist” by Rolling Stone Magazine, Alex Henry Foster has established himself as a singular and deeply immersive live performer, known for transforming concerts into emotionally charged and unpredictable experiences. Backed by The Long Shadows, Foster’s performances blend expansive post-rock soundscapes, improvisation, raw vulnerability, and cathartic intensity into what many have described as something closer to a spiritual event than a traditional concert. An evening with the music of Alex Henry Foster (& The Long Shadows) is akin to a spiritual event: immersive, intimate, hypnotic, and intense, standing at the crossroads of post-rock, gothic rock, ambient experimentation, and emotional surrender. “Swans, Radiohead or Nick Cave? What if we could combine the results of their sounds? Then we would have Alex Henry Foster.” — Radio Trojka (PL) “Sonic Youth meets Slint at a party hosted by Mogwai” — Silent Radio (UK)
